What?! Boston College Prof. Worked for Planned Parenthood?

Who hires these people?

According to CatholicCulture.org:

The assistant chair of the nursing department at one of the nation’s most prominent Catholic colleges has been associated with Planned Parenthood in two states. The career of Dr. Allyssa Harris, professor of nursing at Boston College, “has included positions at … Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and North Carolina,” according to her website. Dr. Harris received her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the Jesuit institution.

TFP Volunteer Assaulted: Video Clip Tells Story

While TFP Student Action volunteers peacefully rallied support for traditional marriage at the New Jersey Statehouse on January 7, TFP member Elias Bartel, 21, was assaulted by a heavy-set woman wearing a blue “equality” t-shirt who tried to physically wrestle his pro-family sign away from him, interfering with his right to free speech. She left the scene as soon as she saw our camera in operation.

Fr. Jenkins at March for Life Shows No Mercy for 88 Pro-Lifers

Over 19,500 students and parents wrote to Fr. Jenkins of Notre Dame, asking him to drop the charges leveled against 88 pro-lifers who entered campus when Obama was there. Although he attended the annual March for Life on Jan. 22, he has not interceded on behalf of these 88 peaceful pro-lifers who face jail time for praying on ND's campus.

Pro-lifers confronted Fr. Jenkins at the March for Life

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Due to the ever increasing threats against moral values, TFP volunteers often find themselves on the front lines of the Culture War, in the thickest part of the fray – right where they want to be.

Addressing critical issues on college campuses such as abortion, same-sex “marriage,” socialist healthcare reform, and the Notre Dame scandal has kept TFP Student Action extremely busy in 2009.

We offer our readers this brief summary of our 2009 activities and campaigns, trusting that God will inspire more souls to join the spiritual crusade in 2010.

Scandal at Catholic DePaul University - crude V-Monologues play

Send your instant e-protest to the president of DePaul, Fr. Dennis Holtschneider

This update contains disturbing news of a lewd theater play, scheduled for February 13-14 at DePaul University, America’s largest Catholic university with over 25,000 students. For several years, DePaul has hosted the V***** Monologues (asterisks added for modesty).

The play promotes:
  • A Culture of Death
  • Explicit discussions of sexuality
  • Lesbian activity
  • Radical feminism

The feminist play by Eve Ensler tramples purity, modesty and is degrading to women. It has no place on any Catholic campus. The production is a propaganda piece for pro-abortion, pro-homosexual activists, especially on college campuses.

This is how one student described the play after seeing it:
"...it was a horrible exhibit of vice, lust, and infidelity. Everything about the play -- the content, the performers, the atmosphere -- was decidedly opposed to just about everything the Church teaches, whether it be about sexuality, abortion, contraception, holy matrimony, modesty, chastity, vulgarity, humility, reverence, you name it."

Join the Protest

I invite you to peacefully protest this offensive production by signing a ready-to-go message to Fr. Dennis Holtschneider, president of DePaul.

Politely ask him to cancel the play

Protests are very effective. In fact, several performances of the V-Monologues were canceled at Catholic colleges in previous years due to the large number of complaints from students, alumni, and concerned Catholics parents. For example, Fr. Brian J. Shanley, president of Providence College, stopped the play on campus in 2006.

He stated:
"Doubtless some will reply that this is a violation of artistic freedom. But artistic freedom on a Catholic campus cannot mean the complete license to perform or display any work of art regardless of its intellectual or moral content."
As Pope Benedict said in his 2008 visit to the U.S.:
"It is timely, then, to reflect on what is particular to our Catholic institutions. How do they contribute to the good of society through the Church's primary mission of evangelization?"
