Jesuit Priest Defends Drag Show as Students Protest
Drag show sparks challenge to Catholic identity - The Spectator - News
Most shocking excerpts:
"I believe whole-heartedly that Seattle University is thoroughly Catholic," said Director of Campus Ministry Fr. Mike Bayard, S.J.
"To be Catholic at Seattle University means to be inclusive. Our Catholicism recognizes that all faiths are welcome here," said Bayard to The Spectator.
Still, even the Jesuits at Seattle U struggle with the more delicate issues of doctrine. Not all Jesuits agree, and many struggle to articulate their feelings on some of the more hot-button issues like homosexuality and abortion.
[The truth is the truth regardless of how you "feel." You can't just wake up in the morning and say, "well, today I feel that abortion is ok."]
"My understanding of a drag show is that it's men dressing up as women, now what is wrong with that?" said Bayard.

Catholic Seton Hall to continue gay ‘marriage’ course
Catholic Seton Hall to continue offering gay ‘marriage’ course | LifeSiteNews.com
SOUTH ORANGE, New Jersey, April 1, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A course at the Catholic Seton Hall University on the history of same-sex “marriage” taught by a gay rights supporter will continue in the Fall 2011 semester after being offered on an experimental basis.
The course, entitled Politics of Gay Marriage, is taught by W. K. Mott, who is openly homosexual and has in the past been demoted at Seton Hall for expressing disagreement with the Church’s teaching on sexual morality. Students interviewed by the student newspaper The Setonian praised the class.

Pro-Homosexuals at Brown University Respond to Peaceful TFP Rally with Violence
Pro-Homosexuals at Brown University Respond to Peaceful TFP Rally with Violence
Update -- 03/29/11: YouTube removed our video of this campaign at Brown without any explanation. We will keep you posted on new developments.
What we faced today at Brown University, an Ivy League university, had the flavor of a religious persecution. As we peacefully campaigned, about 250 frenzied pro-homosexual students gathered to scream, spit, taunt, insult, assault, and even attempt to destroy our traditional marriage banner. Only with supernatural protection, and a strong police presence, did TFP volunteers manage to complete the campaign without serious injury.

TFP Rally Disrupted by Pro-Homosexual Blasphemers Yelling "God is Dead"

TFP Rally Disrupted by Pro-Homosexual Blasphemers Yelling "God is Dead
Before I tell you about the aggressive blasphemers dressed in black who disrupted our rally, let me briefly mention that the tour for traditional marriage took us to Towson, the White Marsh Mall and Timonium on Thursday. At all three locations, the campaign had wide exposure and great support.
In Towson, as we packed the van, a lady in the parking lot handed me a wad of cash: “Go get something for lunch,” she said, “and come back soon.” Very generous. God bless her.
Hunt Valley Mall
This morning, Norman Fulkerson and Gregory Escaro joined us for the campaign. It was good to have the extra help. At the Hunt Valley Mall traffic was a bit slow and a number of people passed with an apathetic “what-do-I-care” attitude.
Nevertheless, loads of cars and trucks honked in support. So much so that a mall manager came out, concerned that our “political” signs might lead patrons to think that their establishment supports marriage. “We don’t get involved in politics,” she said.
Well, doesn’t marriage trump politics?
Next stop: Reisterstown Plaza Shopping Center in Baltimore. Here the support for traditional marriage was noticeably stronger than our previous location. Most of the blacks we met were extremely supportive and expressive.
Blasphemers in Black Yell “God is Dead”
(Caution: This part is troubling)
The homosexual movement’s well-oiled propaganda machine jumps through hurdles to find “nice” poster personalities to advance the acceptance of the immoral lifestyle. The more they hide the ugliness of sin, the more they advance their cause. For that reason, on television and so forth, a studied veneer of normalcy is tailor-made to avoid shocking American sensibilities.
But, today, on Route 45 in Timonium, the real face of the homosexual movement was visible to the public, this time, without the veneer.

SHOCKER: Catholic College Helps Planned Parenthood

SHOCKER: Catholic College Helps Planned Parenthood
Should Catholic universities aid Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups? The answer is obviously NO. However, Seattle University – a Catholic institution – offers students the option of interning for Planned Parenthood of Western Washington on its web site.
See http://www.seattleu.edu/artsci/publicaffairs/default.aspx?id=26486
This shocking scandal must be opposed.
PROTEST HERE
Unfortunately it gets worse. The Women Studies department at Seattle University encourages students to “get involved” with pro-abortion groups.
The Women Studies web page states: “On the Seattle University Campus, in the Northwest, and across the Nation there are countless women’s organizations for you to get involved with. Here are some links to help you get started.”
Immediately after this “get involved” offer, students find pro-abortion groups such as the National Organization for Women, the Feminist Majority and Legal Momentum.
See http://www.seattleu.edu/artsci/women/Default.aspx?id=1574
Please help TFP Student Action counter the culture of death at Seattle University by alerting your pro-life friends about this issue. Spread the word by email, facebook, blogs and other social media.

Canisius College Invites Same-Sex “Marriage” Activist Dustin Black – Protest Kicks Off

Catholic College to Host Same-Sex “Marriage” Activist – Protest Kicks Off
Canisius College – a Jesuit institution – has invited an open homosexual activist, Dustin Lance Black, to talk about “Leadership for Equal Rights: GLBT Equality.” According to the college’s web site, the lecture is scheduled on March 10 as part of a Leadership Series program.
The web site post is here:
http://www.canisius.edu/campus_leader/workshops.asp
Not only is Black a homosexual activist and screenwriter for the movie “Milk,” but he is also a board member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), which sponsored a federal court challenge to overturn Prop. 8 – the 2008 amendment that defends traditional marriage in California.

CPAC Needs Moral Leadership

CPAC Needs Moral Leadership
Just as a drop of poison can spoil a crystalline glass of water, a measure of compromise on non-negotiable principles might destroy the meaning of “conservative” at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the largest annual gathering of its kind.
This year a pro-homosexual group called GOProud was allowed to co-sponsor the event, prompting a boycott by several prominent conservative groups. Not surprisingly, the liberal media gave GOProud ample coverage.
The American TFP decided to attend the event with a specific message to CPAC leaders and attendees: Don’t Betray Principles. During the February 10-12 conference, TFP Student Action volunteers manned a well-visited booth and distributed thousands of leaflets urging CPAC participants to defend objective moral law and oppose the homosexual movement.

Eve Ensler's Filthy Monologues at Saint Mary’s College

Lewd V-Monologues at Saint Mary’s College
The offensive play is scheduled to show on February 11 at the Soda Center. If the play is not canceled, students will be invited to see a production full of explicit discussions of sexuality and sexual encounters, including lesbian activity and masturbation.
Register your peaceful protest here
Over the years many Catholic colleges and universities have canceled the play due to its indecent, immoral and sinful content. TFP Student Action is asking its members to urge the president of Saint Mary’s to ban the play and avoid scandal.
In fact, Saint Mary’s web site states: “We're a Catholic, Lasallian, liberal arts college, and we're rooted in the life and work of Saint John Baptist de la Salle, founder of the Christian Brothers and the patron saint of teachers. Our traditions and heritage inform everything we do.”
The right course of action is clear: To remain true to its Catholic heritage, Saint Mary’s should cancel the immoral show.

2011 March for Life Reflects Youthful Resolve to Stop Abortion

Massive 38th March for Life Reflects Youthful Resolve to Stop Abortion
When abortion activist Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL, saw last year’s March for Life in Washington, D.C. she was utterly astounded: “I just thought, my gosh, they are so young,” she told Newsweek. “There are so many of them, and they are so young.”
Abortion advocates like Keenan must be uneasy with the "so-many-so-young" trend. However, as leaders of the pro-abortion movement get older and focus on retirement, the pro-life movement is ever more youthful, numerous and vibrant. And nowhere is the resilience and vitality of the pro-life movement more apparent than at the annual March for Life, where hundreds of thousands of Americans stand against the slaughter of the unborn.

Catholic Professor Unfired After Huge Protest -- 10,700 TFP Student Action members protested
Peaceful protest achieves yet another victory
According to a July 29 press report by the Alliance Defense Fund, the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana confirmed that it will once again allow Dr. Kenneth Howell to teach on Catholicism after recently firing him for explaining Catholic moral doctrine to members of his class.
“I have been offered to teach one course in the Fall and to be paid directly by the University,” wrote Dr. Howell. “I would like to thank you all for the support you have offered me during this difficult time. Our family has been greatly encouraged by the concern and prayers of so many people. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you.”

Seton Hall Univesity plans same-sex "marriage" course for students
According to an article published by The Setonian on April 15, a course on homosexual “marriage” will be offered next semester at Seton Hall University, a Catholic university in New Jersey with approximately 10,000 students.
Here is the red flag:
The course will be taught by Professor King Mott, a pro-homosexual activist whose biography, posted on Seton Hall’s web site, mentions his affiliation with Lambda Legal, Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies, and Human Rights Campaign -- groups that promote ideas that run contrary to Catholic moral teaching.
