Ask Rosemont College to remove Planned Parenthood from its web site. Catholic colleges should champion virtue, not vice.
|
Rosemont College – a Catholic institution – currently lists Planned Parenthood on its web site under “career paths and opportunities” for students of its women’s studies program. Founded in 1921 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Rosemont College has 903 students, 518 of them undergraduates.
The Society of the Holy Child Jesus and Rosemont College both adhere to and uphold the beliefs of the Catholic Church in all we do. While graduates of Rosemont College have gone on to accept jobs at Planned Parenthood, Rosemont College and the Society of the Holy Child cannot restrict graduates of the College from working at the organizations of their choice once they graduate.
ReplyDeleteIf Rosemont upholds Catholic teaching, then why was Planned Parenthood listed? It seems like the Women's Studies program, which teaches feminism, prepares people for jobs at places like PP.
