Why does Fr. Jenkins refuse to dialogue with pro-lifers?

Father John I. Jenkins, President of the University of Notre Dame, defines himself as a man of dialogue. This is why he invited President Obama to deliver the graduation speech at that Catholic university and granted him the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, in spite of his clearly pro-abortion position.
