Planned Parenthood Still Promoted at Catholic Seattle University Despite 20,927 Complaints
Over 20,000 students and parents have politely asked Seattle University, a Catholic Jesuit-run university, not to promote student internships for Planned Parenthood. The formal request also calls for the removal of several web site links that channel students to abortion advocacy groups.
Despite the large number of complaints, however, Planned Parenthood is still listed on the university’s web site and the pro-abortion links remain up and running. Abortion advocacy groups currently listed under “get involved” include: Feminist Majority Foundation, Legal Momentum, National Organization for Women (NOW), and National Organization for Women, Seattle Chapter.
More Pro-Life Leaders Speak Out
Since TFP Student Action started its peaceful protest in February, a group of 16 national pro-life leaders, led by The Cardinal Newman Society (CNS) and Students for Life of America (SFLA), sent a letter to the president of Seattle University calling on him to put an end to the institution’s connections to Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion organizations.
